Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Sparkle Magic Cleaning & Housekeeping Services (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking, confirming, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Services Offered

We provide residential and commercial cleaning services, including but not limited to:

  • General housekeeping

  • Deep cleaning

  • End of tenancy / move-in / move-out cleaning

  • Specialised or add-on services

All services are provided on a time-based and scope-limited basis, as agreed at the time of booking.

2. Definitions and Scope of Services

2.1 Definition of “Deep Clean”

A deep clean refers to a more intensive, targeted clean of areas typically neglected during routine cleaning.
It does not constitute a guarantee that all possible areas or checklist items will be completed regardless of :

  • Time constraints

  • Budget

  • Property condition

  • Level of soiling

2.2 Checklists

Any checklists provided are indicative only and serve as a general guide to possible tasks.
They do not form a contractual promise that all listed items will be completed within a fixed time or budget.

2.3 Prioritisation

Where time or budget is limited, we reserve the right to prioritise tasks based on hygiene risk, condition, and professional judgment.

3. Bookings and Scheduling

  • Bookings can be made via website, phone, email, or messaging platforms.

  • Any quoted duration is an estimate, not a guarantee.

  • Recurring services (weekly / fortnightly) are treated separately from one-off or deep cleans.

 

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • More than 48 hours’ notice: No charge

  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the booked fee

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the booked fee

If our team attends but is unable to access the property or complete the service due to client fault (e.g. no access, unsafe conditions), the full fee remains payable.

5. Access to Property

  • Clients must ensure safe and timely access to the property.

  • Keys or access codes are handled securely and used solely for service delivery.

  • We are not responsible for delays or reduced output caused by access issues.

 

6. Pricing and Payments

  • Prices are based on property size, condition, service type, and agreed scope.

  • Payment is due upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept bank transfer and cash.

6.1 Non-Payment and Disputed Invoices

  • Services rendered and accepted are payable in full unless a court or mediation determination states otherwise.

  • Dissatisfaction alone does not entitle the client to withhold full payment.

  • Any dispute must be raised in accordance with Clause 7 below.

 

7. Satisfaction, Complaints, and Remedies

7.1 Notification

Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of service completion, with reasonable detail.

7.2 Remedies

In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • We may offer proportionate repeat performance or

  • A reasonable price reduction, at our discretion

Repeat performance does not entitle the client to a second full clean where:

  • The agreed time has been fully used, or

  • The request would be disproportionate to the original service.

7.3 Exclusions

We do not accept:

  • Demands for unlimited outcomes

  • Requests for free additional services beyond the agreed scope

  • Withholding of full payment where services have been provided and accepted

 

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide a safe working environment

  • Secure pets, valuables, and fragile items

  • Remove excessive clutter unless decluttering has been expressly agreed

We are not responsible for reduced service quality caused by unsafe or obstructed conditions.

 

9. Damage or Breakage

  • Any damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage

    • Wear and tear

    • Items not reasonably expected to withstand standard cleaning

Our liability is limited to the extent of our insurance cover.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the service provided

 

11. Photographs

Before-and-after photos may be taken for quality control, training, or marketing purposes.
Clients may opt out by notifying us in advance.

 

12. Privacy

All personal information is handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and used solely for service delivery and communication.

 

13. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The version in force at the time of booking shall apply.

 

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
